Walkways
Paver walkways provide a durable and visually appealing way to guide movement through a property while improving overall curb appeal. Designed to handle foot traffic and seasonal conditions, properly installed walkways rely on correct grading, base preparation, and precise placement to perform over time. When built the right way, paver walkways create a safe, stable, and low-maintenance path that complements surrounding landscaping and hardscape features.
Installation
Our paver walkways are installed using a proven process designed to ensure proper drainage, stability, and long-term performance:
Every project begins with a site evaluation to determine layout, grading, and drainage so the walkway flows naturally and sheds water correctly. The area is then excavated to the proper depth, removing unstable soil to prepare for a solid foundation. A compacted aggregate base is installed and carefully leveled to provide strength and prevent settling or shifting over time.
Once the base is set, a bedding layer is placed and leveled to create an even surface for the pavers. Walkway pavers are then installed according to the selected pattern, with attention to alignment, spacing, and clean transitions along edges and curves. Edge restraints are secured to hold the pavers firmly in place and maintain the integrity of the walkway.
To complete the installation, joint sand is swept into the paver joints and compacted to lock everything together. The walkway is then inspected for level, stability, and proper drainage before final cleanup, leaving a durable, clean, and finished path built to last.
